Life with kids never leaves you with a dull moment. They fill our lives in ways we never imagined. We asked for them, we got them…now what?
My mother jokes about our generation of “researchers.” She tells me that in her days more emphasis was on advice from family (mostly mom) and friends with kids. Although this is still true to a degree, we do, I admit, research the daylight out of anything our kids are into. We tend to buy every book on sleeping through the night and quote the “experts” to our mothers of what will work and what won't.
...If they are sick, we rush to find any article written about their symptoms ready to tell the doctors what we think they have. If they are about to enter school, not reading all the reviews and interviewing the schools is inconceivable. There is one thing that has NEVER changed…How much we love our munchkins!
